BRABUS has long occupied a specific niche in the automotive imagination: the dark, high-performance optimization of Mercedes-Benz engineering. Now, in a collaboration with the French manufacturer DAB Motors, the brand is pivoting toward the electric urban landscape. Debuted at Milan Design Week 2026, the three-bike series—comprising the DAB 1α BRABUS, the BRABUS URBAN E, and its First Edition variant—represents a departure from the brand’s traditional internal combustion roots toward a more minimalist, silent mobility.
The design language of the new series is defined by a striking use of monochromatic saturation. While BRABUS’s signature deep black carbon finishes remain, the First Edition introduces a palette of four dense tones: Peetch, Desert Sand, Superviolet, and Fusion Red. Rather than serving as mere accents, these colors envelop the motorcycle entirely, extending from the bodywork into the seating upholstery to create a singular, continuous visual field. It is a bold, almost playful experiment in how material and color can redefine the silhouette of a two-wheeler.
Beneath the expressive exterior lies DAB Motors’ 1α electric architecture. The system is powered by a 72-volt lithium-ion battery and a carbon belt drive, a combination that maintains a clean mechanical profile. With a top speed of 120 km/h and an urban range of up to 150 km, the bikes are engineered for the cadence of city life rather than the raw velocity of the track. Charging is similarly pragmatic, designed to fit into a daily routine with a full refill achievable in under four hours via standard home connections.
