Brazil’s agricultural sector remains the backbone of its national economy, a sprawling industrial complex that requires constant infusions of specialized talent. In a move to shore up its future workforce, MBRF—one of the world’s largest food producers—has launched a comprehensive internship program specifically targeted at the agricultural and livestock sectors.
The initiative spans more than 20 cities across Brazil’s South, Southeast, and Midwest regions, traditional strongholds of the country’s agribusiness output. By offering a monthly stipend of R$ 2,466, the company is positioning itself to attract students who can navigate the increasingly technical demands of modern food production, from supply chain logistics to animal welfare standards.
This expansion reflects a broader trend in the global food system, where the distance between the field and the consumer is managed by sophisticated corporate structures. For the next generation of agronomists and technicians, these roles represent a bridge between traditional farming and the high-stakes world of international trade.
