Law enforcement in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, used rubber bullets and pepper spray to repel approximately 1,000 animal welfare activists attempting to enter Ridglan Farms on Saturday. The facility, which breeds beagles for research, was the site of a similar attempt last month. Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett stated that protesters bypassed barricades and blocked emergency access, leading to multiple arrests. Although some individuals breached the perimeter fence, they failed to enter the facility housing 2,000 dogs.
