Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer has left the Trump administration following allegations of misconduct, including an affair with a subordinate and drinking on the job. She is the third Cabinet member to depart recently, following Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi.
While official statements cited a move to the private sector, the announcement was made by a White House aide rather than the president. Keith Sonderling, the current deputy labor secretary, will assume the role in an acting capacity.
