Pavel Krisevich, a 25-year-old Russian artist and former political prisoner, has been denied a visa to enter the Netherlands. Krisevich, who served three and a half years in prison for his criticism of the Kremlin, was scheduled to perform at the Amsterdam debate center De Balie this Thursday.

In response to the visa refusal, De Balie has characterized the decision as an act of "censorship." The artist’s planned performance was part of a scheduled event at the venue.
