The intersection of competitive gaming and mid-nineties anime has found a new material expression. Danish peripherals label Wallhack has announced the global release of its collaboration with *Ghost in the Shell*, a collection that centers on the SP-005 tempered glass mousepad. Following a sold-out debut at a specialized exhibition in Tokyo, the drop signals a growing trend in the gaming hardware market: the elevation of the desk surface from a simple utility to a piece of high-spec industrial design.

The SP-005 serves as a 440mm by 510mm canvas for the film’s most enduring image—Major Motoko Kusanagi in her thermoptic camouflage during the iconic free-fall over New Port City. Beyond the aesthetics, the pad is an exercise in precision engineering. At 3.0mm thick, the tempered glass surface is paired with a concave silicone base to ensure stability, while included sets of PTFE and UHMW-PE mouse soles allow players to fine-tune the friction of their glide.

Accompanying the glass pad are the Pro Sleeve gaming arm sleeves, designed to reduce skin-on-surface drag. Available in "Glove" and "Classic" configurations, the polyester-spandex garments complete a kit that treats the digital athlete’s setup with the same technical reverence usually reserved for specialized sports equipment. The collection arrives globally on April 21, bridging the gap between Mamoru Oshii’s philosophical cyberpunk and the rigorous demands of modern e-sports.
