For many artists, a Coachella performance serves as a pivot point—a high-stakes stage where visual identity is often recalibrated for a global audience. For PinkPantheress, this transition was managed by designer Miss Claire Sullivan (MCS), who was tasked with bridging the artist’s established aesthetic with a more experimental future. The resulting custom three-piece ensemble represents a deliberate "new language" for both the musician and the designer.
The look centers on a bustled skirt—a structural descendant of the MCS tutu—paired with the designer’s signature bow and a layered capri pant. This combination introduces a sporty element to the artist’s traditionally soft silhouette, maintaining her characteristic color palette while pushing into more architectural territory. Sullivan describes the aesthetic as a balance of "sassy, sexy, and sweet," using pink as the tonal anchor for the evolution.
The collaboration was executed under the intense pressure typical of the festival circuit; Sullivan’s team produced several looks in less than two weeks. Central to the design was the integration of tartan, a pattern that has become a visual calling card for PinkPantheress. By grounding these new, sharper silhouettes in familiar textiles, Sullivan managed to evolve the artist’s brand without abandoning the "universe" her fans recognize.
