Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang suggests that AI assistants will function more as "overbearing managers" than as replacements for human workers. Speaking at Stanford University, Huang pushed back against the narrative of a "white-collar jobs armageddon," arguing that AI agents will instead drive employees to work faster and at a greater scale.
Huang envisions a future where AI tools enable humans to explore more space and perform tasks more cost-effectively. "Your agents are harassing you, micromanaging you, and you’re busier than ever," Huang said.
